30-second cure for anxiety--writing out your worries

We all feel anxious at work at one time or another, which can make us feel insecure and unhappy.

One great way to cope is to take a few seconds to write your worries out.

In fact, studies have shown that writing about a stressful event lowers our levels of stress. Getting our feelings out of our heads and on to paper or computer helps us organize our thoughts and release negative emotions.

I’ve often found that anxious thoughts actually tell me something I need to know, and by writing them out, a practical to-do list emerges.

Anxiety that is productive is problem solving.
